Meet Our Board Members
Our Board leads the only industry-specific glass association in this region. The Board's goal is to lead the association in cultivating a strong glass industry in Washington State by providing members with educational and networking opportunities to strengthen their businesses.
Elections
WGA members elect board members who, in turn, elect the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. At the Board’s direction, the President implements all policies and programs decided upon by the Board. The President also appoints committee chairs. The WGA staff carries out the goals of the Board.
Current Board Members
Rick Koeller
Washington Glass Association President
Number of years in the glass industry: 29
Rick Koeller is the Architectural Sales Representative for Oldcastle Building Envelope. Rick has worked closely with architects and sub-contracted glass shops providing consultation and support for aluminum products used on commercial projects, specializing in storefront, curtain wall and aluminum operable windows on countless buildings here in the Pacific Northwest.
Oldcastle Building Envelope joined the Washington Glass Association in 2005. Rick Koeller is currently serving his third year of a three-year term as Vice President and the Golf Chair 2022. Rick Koeller has also served as President, Past President, Treasurer and Director of the Washington Glass Association.

Rick Wakefield
Washington Glass Association Past President
Number of years in the glass industry: 30
Rick Wakefield began his full-time employment in 1994 learning the trade to become the President of Wakefield Glass Inc. Wakefield Glass, Inc. was established in 1977 and located in Seattle specializing in installation and service of storefronts, doors, fire rated products, mirrors and tenant improvements. Wakefield Glass joined the Washington Glass Association in 1991.
Rick Wakefield will be serving as Past President of Washington Glass Association in 2024 and this will be his fourth year of a three-year term. Rick has also served as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of the Washington Glass Association.

Brad Weeks
Washington Glass Association Vice President
Number of years in the glass industry: 24
Brad Weeks joined Colorado Steel Sash in 2002 and currently serves as the company’s President. Colorado Steel Sash has provided materials and support to the northwest glass, construction and waterproofing industries since 1950.
Colorado Steel Sash joined the Washington Glass Association in 1992. Brad Weeks is currently serving his second year of a consecutive three-year term as Vice President. He also served from 2004-2006 as Director for the Washington Glass Association.

Sam Berg
Washington Glass Association Treasurer
Number of years in the glass industry: 19
Sam Berg started at Technical Glass Products (TGP) in 2005 as a Sales Associate supporting the sales department with estimating, quote follow up and CRM management. Since 2007, Sam has managed sales for the Northwest and International territories for TGP. In his current role, he collaborates with commercial glaziers and architects with design consultation related to fire rated and specialty architectural glazing requirements.
A 1999 graduate of the University of Washington, Sam spends much of his free time reliving his glory days by supporting his son’s athletic endeavors. He has been an active member of the Washington Glass Association (WGA) since 2007 and will be serving his last year of a three-year term as Treasurer of the WGA in 2024.

Bryce R. Given
Washington Glass Association Director
Number of years in the construction industry: 18
Bryce R. Given is the Northwest National Architectural Manager for Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG), the largest glass manufacturer in North America. Bryce works closely with architects, designers, glaziers and fabricators to make the best-value glazing choices while supporting the efforts of the regional construction industry.
Vitro Architectural Glass has been a longtime member and supporter of the Washington Glass Association. Bryce Given is now serving his second year of a three-year term as Director of the Washington Glass Association. Bryce has also served as Secretary of the Washington Glass Association. |

Joe Kaiser
Washington Glass Association Director
Number of years in the glass industry: 8
Number of years in the construction industry: 20+
Joe Kaiser is the President of Herzog Glass. Prior to joining Herzog, Joe worked at a real estate development and general contracting firm gaining him experience on both sides of the typical project. Herzog Glass was launched in 1964 and quickly established themselves as industry leaders and the “go-to” glazing company for complicated, iconic projects. Herzog Glass has experience in all aspects of glazing, from residential shower doors to service and small store front work to multi-million dollar, multi scope large commercial jobs.
Herzog Glass has been a proud member of the WGA for over 30 years. Joe is serving his second year of a three-year term as WGA Board Director.

Tyler Kuenzi
Washington Glass Association Director
Number of years in the glass industry: 22
Tyler Kuenzi started in the industry installing storefronts and curtain walls while simultaneously attaining a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Washington State University. He is currently serving as the Project Executive for Mission Glass in Tumwater, Washington.
Mission Glass provides fabrication and installation of complex unitized curtainwall systems, as well as traditional site-built curtainwalls, storefronts, entrance systems, and heavy architectural glass elements. Tyler works with owners, architects, and engineers in the early planning stages of a project to ensure systems meet design considerations, as well as support current fabrication and installation practices. He also provides supervision to other Project Managers and Project Engineers, as well as general company oversight at Mission Glass.
Tyler was appointed to the Board in November 2022 and will be completing the balance of a three-year term in 2023 and 2024. He will be serving as Director of the Washington Glass Association.

Jerry Larson
Washington Glass Association Director
Number of years in the glass industry: 43
Jerry Larson is the Business Development Manager at All New Glass in Auburn. Jerry previously co-owned Larson Glass in Puyallup with his brother Doug. The Larson family owned the company for over 74 years until Jerry and Doug sold in 2020.
Jerry is a long-time, dedicated member of the WGA. He has volunteered to be on the WGA Board of Directors for several years starting in 1990 including three terms as president, two as secretary and one as vice president.

Cody Messerly
Washington Glass Association Director
Number of years in the glass industry: 19
Cody Messerly started his career with Modern Glass Company in 2005. Like many in our industry, he developed his skills from beginner, to journeyman, to project lead, and now holds an office position in estimating/project management. He has a diverse portfolio, having successfully completed a variety of commercial and residential projects over the years.
Cody is serving his second three-year term as Director of the Washington Glass Association. Modern Glass is located in Spokane and became of member of the WGA in 1991.

Shirley Walsh
Washington Glass Association Director
Number of years in the glass industry: 9
Shirley Walsh has served as Executive Director of the Washington Glass Association for one year. Prior to working for the WGA, she held the position of Executive Assistant in the Issaquah School District.
Shirley worked for eight years at Pacific Glass, Inc. in Renton as the Office Manager. Responsibilities in that position included all areas of the commercial, residential, and auto glass industry which developed skills assisting both the internal and external customer.
